Little girl and the sea is a short poetic fictional film inspired by the children's book 'Short story of Love' by Marit Tornqvist. It is a story about a little girl who sits on top of a high piling at the end of a beach jetty and watches out over the sea. She sits there day and night in wind and rain and all sorts of weather. She has no plans of ever coming down from her lofty vantage point. She spends her time watching and enjoying the many peculiar and varied boats passing by. Now and then, when in the mood, she catches a fish. Every evening the setting sun wishes her a good night. Then one day something very unexpected happens and from that moment on everything changes.
